Bag and accessory brand Lug has opened its first retail store in Concourse D of Baltimore-Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport (BWI).
The 1,290-square-foot store is designed around the brand’s vibrant colors and prints. In each corner of the store, touch screen kiosks offer an interactive experience for travelers. Through the kiosks, travelers can touch, feel and see bags in different colors and prints.
Lug also offers a complimentary water station in the store, located next to a display of the brand’s water bottles, which come in a variety of Lug’s signature colors and prints.
The BWI Lug store has partnered with local charities as part of its bag exchange program. Customers who donate their gently used bags or wallets receive 10 percent off new purchases. The used bags and wallets are donated to local charities.
Founded in 2005 by Ami and Jason Richter, Lug was created with the simple goal of “freshening up” the travel bag and accessory market with fun, functional and colorful designs. “We are flying high with excitement over our first-ever retail store,” says Jason Richter. “And by design, it is in an airport, where we can personally interact with individuals and families to help them travel with style and function to destinations around the world.”
