Midway International (MDW) has added Chicago staple Big Shoulders Coffee to its terminal offerings as part of a $75 million concessions redevelopment initiative that will eventually add 70 new food and retails brands to the airport.
“Big Shoulders Coffee started in Chicago and is now a hometown favorite,” says said Jamie Rhee, commissioner of the Chicago Department of Aviation, which oversees both Midway and O’Hare International. “Through our Midway concessions redevelopment, we look forward to bringing forward many more unique local brands that will give our passengers a sense of place, and a taste of the City of Chicago.”
SSP America is operating the Big Shoulders near Gate A14 on Midway’s A Concourse, providing travelers with hot and cold coffee and other specialty drinks, as well as breakfast sandwiches.
