HMSHost Enhances Concessions at ALB Following Extension

HMSHost is in the process of enhancing the food and beverage options at Albany International (ALB) after the company and its Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) partners had their contract extended through 2029 in a deal valued at approximately $80 million.

The improvements include HMSHost converting what had been a wine bar in Concourse B to Hudson Valley Beer Union, featuring crafted beers and elevated pub menu. Other improvements expected by the end of next year are renovations and refreshed menus at The Local @ ALB in Concourse C, the horse-racing themed Silks Saratoga Bistro in the Main Terminal Food Court, and the Albany Adirondack Lodge in Concourse A.

HMSHost will also open a new Burger King in the Food Court this August in partnership with ACDBE program partner Carl Andrews, President/CEO of C&E Global Solutions.

“HMSHost is honored to continue our partnership with the Albany County Airport Authority to serve the capital region travelers with an assortment of dining offerings for their travel journey,” says HMSHost business development VP, Amy Dunne. “With the new Hudson Valley Beer Union, we’ll be showcasing the region’s growing craft beer scene with some of the area’s best beer for locals and world visitors alike to enjoy.”

The airport also has a contract with OHM Concessions Group, which operates Chick-fil-A, the landside-located Empire Deli and plans to open Wolfgang Puck Pizza later this year.
