SITA, the global IT provider to carriers and airports, is upgrading the flight information technology at Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) to provide bigger, brighter displays and voice paging throughout the terminal.
SITA’s AirportVision and AirportVoice will help improve the passenger journey for everyone and include a new large double-side video wall with the latest flight information for travelers immediately after they pass through the ISP security checkpoint.
“SITA’s AirportVision and AirportVoice technology will work together so that any flight information updates will automatically be displayed on all screens and announced in real time over the public address system,” says Angie Carpenter, supervisor for the Town of Islip, which operates ISP. “We also plan to roll out updates on our website and to give passengers the choice to receive them via email or SMS. Having the latest updates provides our passengers with the information they need to feel relaxed at the airport.”
The new SITA systems are set to be up and running at ISP in time for the busy holiday season.
