Paradies Lagardère, YWG Partner to Fight Hunger

Paradies Lagardère and Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport (YWG) are partnering on a new initiative designed to help fight hunger in the region with a food donation program for travelers as well as airline and airport workers.

Under the program, passengers and airport employees can purchase and donate convenience foods, healthy snacks, HABA, beverages and other items that will then be distributed to Winnipeg Harvest.

Winnipeg Harvest is a not-for-profit, community-based organization that shares surplus food with people who are hungry, as well as provides training opportunities to help people step up and out of poverty.

“Paradies Lagardère is excited to launch this partnership with Winnipeg Harvest at the Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport,” says Gregg Paradies, president and CEO, Paradies Lagardère. “We’ve received positive feedback regarding our initiatives to fight hunger at the Edmonton and Calgary airports from both our partners and travelers. We’re always looking for new opportunities to make a positive and impactful difference in the lives of our employees, business partners and customers.”
