MSY Launches Guest Pass Program

Local residents can now shop and dine at more than 40 concessions at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) thanks to a new Guest Pass program that begins this week at the airport.

Under the new program, 50 visitors will be allowed to visit MSY Monday through Friday from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. On Saturdays and Sundays, that number will be boosted to 100 guests.

Among the retailers at MSY are Fleurty Girl, which provides t-shirts, hats, accessories, and other souvenirs and gifts, and local t-shirt company Dirty Coast.

Dining options include Emeril’s Table from celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse, Angelo Brocato’s, which features gelato, Italian ice and Sicilian deserts such as biscotti and tiramisu, and Mondo, created by local James Beard Award winning chef Susan Spicer.

All MSY Guest Pass participants must book their airport visit at least 24 hours in advance, present a valid ID and go through the same TSA screening as travelers. Visitors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult that has been approved to participate in the program and Guest Pass participants are limited to one visit per month.

MSY joins Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) and several other U.S. airports in providing non-travelers with access to their terminal concessions.
