Philadelphia Tribune Store Opens at PHL

The Philadelphia Tribune Store, which pays tribute to the oldest continuously published African-American newspaper in the U.S., is now open at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL).

The Philadelphia Tribune Media Group joined with Stellar Partners and its two ACDBE partners, Olympic Supply–t/a Onsite Retailers and HLM Concessions, to work with MarketPlace PHL on the concept that celebrates the important African-American history in the city.

“We are deeply honored to partner with this historic publication and share its legacy with travelers,” says Yasmin Sheriff, vice president of business development and strategic alliances for Stellar. “The airport is the ideal location to experience and celebrate the historic brand that embodies Philadelphia.”

Located at the top of Terminal A-East, the store features a curated “Best of Philly” assortment of products that ensures travelers are getting an authentic sense of place and complete Philadelphia experience in the airport. It is the latest project by Stellar for retail developer MarketPlace PHL’s award winning PHL Food and Shops program.
