PVD Inks Deal for Curbside Rideshare

The Rhode Island Airport Corporation (RIAC) last week signed a deal that will allow both Uber and Lyft drivers to pick up and drop off passengers at the terminal curbside of T.F. Green Airport (PVD).

The new agreement, which goes into effect this week, enables both companies to idle just a few steps from the terminal doors. RIAC signed a deal with Lyft in 2018 to let their drivers operate at the PVD commercial curb, but Uber previously operated offsite, which proved inconvenient for passengers.

“We are pleased to have Uber join Lyft in offering curbside pickup for travelers at T.F. Green Airport,” said Iftikhar Ahmad, RIAC president and CEO. “Our patrons appreciate T.F. Green Airport’s commitment to easy, stress free travel, including the ability to quickly and easily access curbside transportation services.”

RIAC also recently announced new parking pricing and reservation availability for airport operated parking and said that new “touchless” parking ticket dispensers will be implemented for all airport operated parking facilities, including Garages A and B, as well as Lot D, providing yet another customer service upgrade to promote safe and healthy travel.
