The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority this week promoted Hampton Brown to vice president, revenue generation, marketing and innovation at San Diego International Airport (SAN).
Brown, who was promoted following a nationwide search, has been with SAN since 2004, rising from his initial position as air service specialist to his most recent role as interim vice president, revenue generation, marketing and innovation. Before joining the Airport Authority, Mr. Brown was a senior consultant with Edwards & Kelcey, working with airports across the U.S.
In his new role, Brown will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for the revenue generation, innovation, marketing and air service development at SAN.
“Mr. Brown has been an integral part of the Airport Authority since joining the organization in 2004,” said Kimberly Becker, president and CEO of the Airport Authority. “Through the years, he has gained valuable experience in the airport’s relationship with airlines, our tenants, and the broader San Diego community. He regularly consults with regional stakeholders on how the airport can support their air service needs to enhance global commerce and our regional economy. Mr. Brown’s experience and leadership will be instrumental as we look toward recovery from the impacts of COVID-19 and development of the New T1.”
