ACI-NA Supports Net Zero Emissions By 2050

Airports Council International – North America (ACI-NA) said this week that it welcomes the call by its parent organization, Airports Council International-International (ACI-World) for a global airport industry initiative to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2050.

“Even while the airport industry continues to respond to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, airports remain laser focused on advancing important priorities that will help create a more sustainable future for air travel,” said Kevin Burke, ACI-NA president and CEO. “We applaud the airport industry’s global commitment announced today to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2050.  To get there, it will take strong support from our government, airline, and other industry partners. We look forward to working collaboratively with our partners on this ambitious initiative to combat the threat of climate change.”
