Uber Unveils Reservations for Airport Pickups

Ride-hailing service Uber announced this week that Uber Reserve, a feature that allows riders to pre-arrange a pick-up, is being expanded to include airports.

Uber Reserve at airports enables riders to reserve a ride up to 30 days in advance and the ability to adjust a reservation based on the flight information the passenger provides so drivers are ready and waiting at the airport when the rider flight lands – whether it’s on time, early or delayed.

Uber Reserve for airports also includes complimentary wait time, with the driver waiting up to 60 minutes at no additional charge and features curbside pickup.

Uber Reserve at airports is now available for Uber Black and Uber Black SUV at airports across the country, including Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International (ATL), Charlotte Douglas International (CLT), Chicago O’Hare International (ORD) , Midway International (MDW), Dallas Fort Worth International (DFW), Love Field (DAL), Denver International (DEN), Houston George Bush Intercontinental (IAH), Houston Hobby (HOU), Miami International (MIA), Nashville International (BNA), Louis Armstrong New Orleans International (MSY), John Kennedy International (JFK), LaGuardia (LGA), Orlando International (MCO), Philadelphia International (PHL), Phoenix Sky Harbor International (PHX), Seattle Tacoma International (SEA), Washington Dulles International (IAD) and Reagan National (DCA) airports.

Uber is also piloting a new Ready When You Are feature to its app at several airports that allows passengers to request a ride after they land—but only be picked up when the rider is ready, with options for pickup in 20 minutes, 10 minutes or as soon as possible.
