Russo Named In New ACI-NA Position

Airports Council International – North America (ACI-NA) last week announced Annie Russo has been named ACI-NA’s chief political and congressional strategy officer, a new position for the airport organization.

Russo joined ACI-NA in April 2008 and previously served as senior vice president of government and political affairs. In her new role, Russo will continue to develop and lead ACI-NA’s advocacy strategies on the many pressing legislative challenges facing the industry.

“Annie has brought sound leadership and valuable perspective in advancing airport industry priorities on Capitol Hill,” said Kevin Burke, ACI-NA president and CEO.  “Annie has been a proven and extremely effective advocate for our industry, most recently helping to secure $45 billion in infrastructure investment and COVID relief since the onset of the pandemic.”

Russo’s new position was one of a number of promotions announced by ACI-NA this week. Others include Amy Claire Brusch being named managing director, policy and regulatory affairs; Melinda Pagliarello being promoted to managing director, environmental affairs; Veronica Gerson being elevated to senior director of member services; Kathleen Henderson named as director, aviation security and committee affairs, and Raechel Rucker picked to be director, communications and marketing.

ACI-NA also promoted Caitlin Sloan to director, conferences and Yannis Benzoubair to senior manager, air policy.
