DEN Highlights Major Concessions Expansion

Denver International Airport (DEN) this week announced that the airport concessions program is currently undergoing it largest commercial developments since the airport first opened in 1995, including plans to fill 60,000 square feet of new space with food and beverage and retail options.

Between 2019 and 2021, DEN released 24 concessions Request for Proposals (RFPs). In 2022, a total of 56 construction projects will take place, which include 24 full construction buildouts and 32 refreshes.

“DEN’s concessions program is expanding with local and nationally recognized brands that will give passengers more reason and excitement to travel through our airport,” said DEN CEO Phil Washington “Our Gate Expansion Program gives us even more to look forward to as the space allows us to offer more dining and retail options to our already robust concessions program.”

Among the new DEN openings set for this year include offerings in Concourse A such as Dazbog Coffee, Einstein Bro’s Bagels, Market 5280, Mercantile Dining & Provision, Novo Coffee, Plaza Premium Lounge and WHSmith.

The shopping and dining options set to open or be upgraded in Concourse B include another Dazbog Coffee, Half Moon Empanadas, High Dune Market & Goods, Kabod Coffee, another Novo Coffee, River North News, Rosenberg’s Bagels and VooDoo Doughnut.

Concourse C will feature Black Canyon Market & Goods, Dazbog Coffee, Longs Peak Market & Goods, Skymarket, and Superfruit Republic.

Set to open at DEN in 2023 are several new food and beverage marketplaces, Elway’s Tap Room, Peet’s Coffee and others.
