The City of Atlanta this month said that Bryan Benefiel, who has served as interim chief financial officer and deputy general manager of finance and accounting at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), will assume the position permanently.
The city also announced that J’Aimeka “Jai” Ferrell, who had served as assistant general manager of commercial revenue development at ATL, has been appointed deputy general manager/chief commercial officer at the airport, while Elise Durham, once the airport’s communications director, is now the ATL assistant general manager for business diversity.
Benefiel joined ATL in 2012 as the director of financial planning and analysis and has helped the airport focus on financial priorities, while accelerating growth and enhancing value for airport partners and stakeholders.
Ferrell joined the ATL in 2015 and quickly earned a promotion to director of marketing. She served assistant general manager of commercial revenue development before her new appointment.
Durham, a well-regarded local journalist as well as an integral part of the Atlanta Mayor’s office, will bring her communications expertise to her new duties driving business diversity at the airport.
