SSP America, a division of SSP Group, said this week it has promoted Scott Welding to senior vice president of development and pursuit of new airports. He will retain his current portfolio of airports while also looking to further expand the company’s presence across U.S. and Canada.
Welding’s career has seen him develop and operate restaurants in more than 40 airports, including locations at Spokane International (GEG) and Phoenix Sky Harbor International (PHX) airports. He joined SSP America in 2015 and was promoted to vice president of Business Development in 2017.
“Scott’s passion and expertise of the business are incredibly important to the company as we have lofty development and service goals,” said Michael Svagdis, SSP America CEO. “We look forward to Scott’s ongoing contribution to the company.”
