In an effort to attract new concession workers, Tampa International Airport (TPA) will host Cooks and Cashiers Hiring Night on Tuesday, August 23, at the airport’s main terminal. The networking-style event will feature cooking demonstrations, socializing and on-the-spot employment opportunities at TPA eateries, bars, coffee shops and retailers.
“As TPA continues to expand its retail hours, our vendors have more jobs to fill,” said Nina Mahoney, TPA senior manager of concessions. “Hiring events like this offer job seekers a chance to explore as many options as possible in a fun and welcoming atmosphere.” Potential applicants don’t need previous experience to attend, and many employers offer training, the airport said.
