MIA Launches Book Exchange Library

Miami International Airport (MIA) South has introduced the Books with an Altitude Library, a new book exchange program located between gates H5 and H7 in airport’s South Terminal.

The new airport library began with an initial donation of 1,000 books from the Miami-Dade Public Library System in October, and travelers have been donating and “checking out” books since then to get a free read for their trip. The location holds up to 100 books daily. Donations of children’s books are preferred but all are welcome, MIA officials said.

“This is another example of how our MIA team is ready to go above and beyond to ensure our residents and visitors the best experience when traveling,” said Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava.
