PHL Names Appulingam As Chief Development Officer

Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) has promoted Api Appulingam to the position of chief development officer. The airport also announced the promotions of Mike Morris to vice president of IT client engagement and Keesha Lane to director of community engagement and outreach. In addition, Milaris Florian has been brought in as its new director of safety management systems (SMS)

Appulingam has served as deputy director of aviation-capital development, which makes critical improvements and develops new infrastructure at both PHL and PNE. through architectural, engineering, environmental, planning and sustainability projects.

Under her leadership, PHL became the first airport in Pennsylvania to achieve Level 2 ‘Reduction’ as part of the Airport Carbon Accreditation program. Prior to joining DOA in 2019, Appulingam served as Philadelphia office leader for RS&H, a provider of architecture, engineering and consulting services.
