Travelers passing through Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) have a new quick-serve, locally-focused eatery to try: Liberty Toast, a concept from Chef Mark Estee and operated by SSP America.
Estee — a local restaurateur known for an extensive portfolio of eateries across northern Nevada, including downtown Reno’s Liberty Food & Wine Exchange — joined SSP America’s vice president of concepts and development Kyle Phillips and RNO’s chief commercial officer Aurora Ritter at the grand opening of the new Concourse C cafe last week.
“I love Reno, I love Tahoe so much — It’s only natural that we’re here at the airport with SSP and all the hard workers here,” said Estee. “What they’ve done — from the art, to bringing in local businesses, and really focusing on the community and the growth that we’ve all seen and gone through — we’re only looking forward to the future.”
Offering a diverse menu of locally-sourced dishes, Liberty Toast will be open every day from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The concept is part of RNO’s “Best Bites and Brands of Reno-Tahoe” initiative, which aims to bring more local brands to the airport. RNO is set to open more new concessions over the next several years thanks to its MoreRNO Infrastructure program, which will add 40% more concessions and retail space to the facility.
