The funding, part of $25 billion total earmarked for airport facility and safety improvements under the AIG program, will go to airport projects across 34 states, including: Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW), San Diego International Airport (SAN), Kodiak Airport (ADQ), Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT), Portland International Jetport (PWM), Tucson International Airport (TUS), Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR), Bellingham International Airport (BLI), Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM), Aspen-Pitkin County/Sardy Field Airport (ASE), Cedar City Regional Airport (CDC), Pocatello Regional Airport (PIH), Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) and Middle Georgia Regional Airport (MCN), among others.

“These grants not only invest in the physical infrastructure of our airports, but also in strengthening safety and improving efficiency for travelers, and help the economy thrive,” said FAA associate administrator for airports Shannetta R. Griffin.
