Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) concessionaire Fraport USA has released new details on its latest RFP, which seeks to fill several concessions and retail concepts at both Dulles International Airport (IAD) and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA).
At DCA, Fraport is seeking operators for a Concourse C end pier bar and restaurant with QSR shared kitchen, a retail apparel and athleisure store, and a snack quick-serve restaurant. At IAD, there are opportunities for four new sit-down bar/restaurants, four quick-serve restaurants, two coffee shops, one retail and gift store, and one hybrid travel essentials and coffee shop.
Fraport and MWAA plan to release a vending and Retail Merchandising Unit (RMU) RFP in August 2024, a phase 5 inline space RFP for DCA and IAD in September 2024, as well as leasing details for the facility’s tier 2/concourse E at IAD in early 2025.
