Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) is expanding its security line reservation program to a new terminal. MSP Reserve, a free, online reservation program, allows passengers to book a specific time slot to pass through TSA. The service will be available in Terminal 1 beginning September 17.
To use the MSP Reserve program, passengers enter their flight details and party number to search for available time slots. Once booked, travelers receive a QR confirmation code that they are able to scan to access the separate MSP Reserve security line. MSP launched the program in Terminal 2 in May 2023 where it logged 50,000 reservations in its first year.
“We have seen strong adoption rates and growth in the program and are excited to make it available to all MSP passengers by bringing the program to Terminal 1,” said Scott Skramstad, Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) director of terminal and landside operations. “Reserving a place in the security line can reduce wait time and add more certainty and peace of mind at the start of a traveler’s journey.”
