Travelers visiting Philadelphia International Airport (PHL)’s MarketPlace PHL will soon be able to enjoy fare from two Philly-based brands. Concessionaire Jackmont Hospitality and ACDBE partner Brenda Branch of High Places Concessions will operate the first airport locations of Federal Donuts & Chicken, the fried chicken, donut and coffee cafe founded by James Beard Award-winning restaurateurs Chef Michael Solomonov and Steve Cook; and Oyster House, a third-generation family-operated seafood restaurant and Philadelphia landmark. Both restaurants are scheduled to open in spring 2025.
“Our team is thrilled to launch these famous Philly brands with PHL Food & Shops,” said Jackmont Hospitality president Daniel Halpern. “Having operated restaurants for several decades in Center City and on City Avenue, we understand the potential and prestige of PHL as well as what it takes to have long-term success in Philadelphia.”
“There’s no shortage of exceptional foodie brands across the Delaware Valley, and even more ‘Founded in Philly’ announcements are coming soon,” added Mel Hannah, vice president and general manager of MarketPlace PHL. “With a huge 2026 on the way, we are excited to announce the addition of these two locations, with more to come.”
