SJC Selects Hudson and Paradies Lagardère For New Concessions

The San José City Council has selected partners Hudson and Paradies Lagardère to manage San José Mineta International Airport (SJC)’s new $16.9-million concessions program. Hudson and Paradies Lagardère will open a total of 12 new concepts across Terminals A and B that will feature products from over 50 local retailers as well as food items sourced from within Santa Clara County. 

Hudson’s program will include a selection of local California brands, including wines from Hollister-based Eden Rift Vineyards and San José-based J. Lohr Vineyards; artisanal gifts from San José-based Alice Frost Designs and Lola x Kenneth Collaboration; food from Campbell-based Mike & Niki’s Honey Company, San José-based Sweetdragon Baking Company, Gilroy-based Garlic World, Sonoma County-based Lala’s Jam Bar andSan José-based Nirvana Soul Café; and grab-and-go food products sourced locally from Eataly Silicon Valley. Hudson will also operate a unique Google shop-in-shop, featuring experiential displays where travelers can try out tech before purchasing. 

Paradies Lagardère’s program will also feature a variety of local businesses, including hand-drawn maps and illustrations from Los Gatos-based Gooseberry Designs; custom embroidered hats from San José-based The Capsmith; and food from San José-based Nokki Farm, Los Altos-based Alice Stick Cookies, Santa Clara-based Ginger Lab, San José-based Daybreak Coffee and San José-based Greenlee’s Bakery. Paradies will also offer a selection of licensed sports apparel featuring the San Jose Sharks, San Jose Earthquakes, San Francisco 49ers, San Francisco Giants and college teams from Stanford, UC Berkeley and San José State University. 

SJC leaders stated that the new concessions program will feature an almost 50% increase in ACDBE participation across SLC concepts and that the program is expected to generate a minimum of $4,843,025 in annual revenue.

“With thousands of visitors expected to pass through SJC for the Super Bowl, NCAA Men’s Basketball, and World Cup games in 2026, now is the perfect time to enhance our airport’s shops, cafes, and overall customer experience,” said San José Mayor Matt Mahan. “By putting the spotlight on small businesses and local foods, we ensure that travelers from around the world experience the unique identity of San José from the moment they arrive.”

“Beyond enhancing revenues that are critical to support airport infrastructure and operations, this new retail program will bring some of the best of San José and our region into our terminals,” said SJC director of aviation Mookie Patel. “Having two industry-leading concession operators will improve customer service through healthy competition, lower prices, improved product quality and added choice.”
