The American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) announces that a new Airport Innovation Index, a centralized repository for creative aviation solutions, will now be part of its Airport Innovation Accelerator program.
The new index allows airports to quickly and easily find innovative projects at other airports or to share the details of their own projects, including results, with other airports. Users can search for specific topics, browse for ideas or connect with peers at other airports for advice on an upcoming project.
“Collaboration is a key ingredient for result-driven innovation,” says Chris Runde, director of AAAE’s Airport Innovation Accelerator. “The Airport Innovation Index allows the entire industry to build up the success of our leading innovators.”
Airport can submit projects through the Accelerator website and all projects entered will be considered for the annual Airport Innovation Awards, which this year will be presented at the Airport Innovation Forum in Chicago this July.
The Airport Innovation Accelerator is an AAAE hub that enables airports to work directly with corporate leaders, regulators, start-ups, airlines and aviation stakeholders to create the airports of the future.
