The AAAE Foundation has announced the creation of a new scholarship, the William Robert Hauptli Scholarship for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. AAAE members seeking an MBA, Executive MBA or intending to enroll in select executive education programs can apply for the foundation’s $10,000 scholarship. One scholarship will be available each year.
The scholarship is named after William Hauptli, the late father of AAAE President and CEO Todd Hauptli. A $200,000 contribution commitment funds the scholarship, $100,000 of which is donated by the Hauptli family.
Interested AAAE members can submit an application, which should include their academic records, work experience, the airport and aviation industry in which the individual is employed, and a personal statement. Accredited airport executives will receive additional consideration.
“William Hauptli was a remarkable man, and I am honored to be able to share his legacy with the members of AAAE through this endowed scholarship,” says Hauptli. “In our dynamic, evolving industry our most effective leaders embrace innovation and entrepreneurship, and the Hauptli family is thrilled to share this opportunity to support the advancement of members of our AAAE family.”
