Airports Council International – North America (ACI-NA) this week launched the U.S. Airport Professional (USAP) Program, a new industry accreditation designed to further develop leadership and strategic management skills for U.S. airport industry professionals.
USAP is an e-learning training curriculum that enables individuals to acquire the necessary skills to boost their value and career prospects in the airport industry. The program covers leadership development, business strategy, commercial management, finance, operations, safety, security, air service and more.
“Developing leaders with strategic thinking and vision is more important than ever as we collectively work to ensure the health, safety, and security of the traveling public and facilitate the recovery of the industry,” said Kevin Burke, ACI-NA president and CEO. “The industry has always looked to ACI-NA to develop and deliver first-in-class education. Today I am excited to announce the next step in our work to further enhance membership value.”
ACI-NA added that earning the USAP designation would be a great first step into the ACI Airport Management Professional Accreditation Program (AMPAP), where students can earn their International Aviation Professional (IAP) accreditation.
Any employee of an ACI-NA Airport Member or World Business Partner/Associate Member is eligible to enroll in the USAP program, ACI-NA said.
