ACK Selects New Airport Manager

The Nantucket Memorial Airport Commission has named Warren Smith its new airport manager for Nantucket Memorial Airport (ACK). Smith, who began his role on March 3, will manage terminal operations, airfield activities, business and service operations, and regulatory compliance for the airport. Prior to joining ACK, Smith served as the airport manager for the Grand Canyon National Park Airport (GCN) as well as in roles at Everett Paine Field (PAE) and Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (AZA).

“I am extremely thrilled to join the airport and team in Nantucket, Massachusetts, and to lead the airport with its future endeavors,” said Smith. “I am excited for the prospects of advancing Nantucket’s place in the Northeast and to enhance the operations that are currently in place. While it is a big change in scenery for me and my family, coming from Grand Canyon National Park Airport in Arizona to island culture and the Northeast climate, I am up for the challenge. I have seen the growth that has taken place at Nantucket throughout the past few decades and want to include my ideas and knowledge to continue this growth in helping the airport amplify its sustainability and profitability. I’m excited for what the future holds at ACK and am ready for the adventure!”
