Aeroports de Montreal and Beijing Capital International Airport Co. Ltd. have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a partnership.
“We are extremely honored to be part of the BCIA Sister Airport Agreement Committee,” says Jim Cherry, president and CEO of ADM. “This is indeed the beginning of a great period of friendship and collaboration. This achievement marks yet another major milestone for ADM, with the first direct Montreal-Beijing flight by Air China on Sept. 29. We look forward to working together to share best practices and are confident that more opportunities will emerge soon for collaboration between Montreal and Beijing in various sectors, including business, finance, tourism and culture.”
The two airports will, under the agreement, share best practices and take on business initiatives to build trade between Canada and China.
“Beijing airport is the gateway for China, and Montreal is the gateway for Eastern Canada,” says Liu Xuesong, president and CEO of Capital Airports Holding Co. and chairman of the board of BCIA. “We welcome the opportunity to work together with our colleagues at ADM and to strengthen the relationship between the two cities for their mutual benefit.”
