The mobile app AirGrub is expanding its reach.
The app is now available at John F. Kennedy International (JFK) and Boston Logan International (BOS), and it has expanded its presence at San Francisco International (SFO).
AirGrub allows travelers to put in their terminal and flight time, see the restaurants and menu items from which they can choose, order, pay and schedule a time to pick up their food. This allows them to get fresh food without waiting in lines.
“With the busiest travel season of the year upon us, the demand for high-quality meals on the go will continue to grow,” says Surya Panditi, founder and CEO of AirGrub. “Now, when travelers check-in for their flight on their smartphone or request an Uber to the airport, they can also order a healthy, delicious meal from the AirGrub app so it’s hot and waiting for them on the other side of security check. San Francisco travelers have fully embraced the on-demand food ordering model since we launched in July, and we’re excited to bring the service to the East Coast.”
Along with the expansion, the app also has a couple of new features. With more restaurant options, passengers are able to order gluten-free, vegetarian and low-carb items. Plus, AirGrub is offering miles on two programs, American Airlines AAdvantage and United MileagePlus, where travelers can get up to four miles for every dollar spent through the app.
