Airport Dimensions Opens New Lounge At MDW

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA), lounge operator Airport Dimensions, Hyde Park Hospitality and the concessionaires of the Midway Partnership joined to celebrate the opening of Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW)’s first premium lounge, The Club MDW.

The Club MDW is located near gate B1 and is available to all travelers who purchase a day pass or who are members of the Priority Pass Program or LoungeKey program. The 3,265-square-foot club features both Chicago-inspired design — including photography by local artists  Mark Hersch and Angie McMonigal — and a Chicago-inspired food and beverage program, including locally-sourced fare, craft beers from Chicago-based Revolution Brewing and Two Brothers Brewing as well as spirits by Chicago-based KOVAL distillery. The Club MDW is part of the airport’s ongoing revitalization of its concessions program by the Midway Partnership, a consortium composed of Vantage Group, SSP America, and Hudson.

“In the ever-evolving world of travel, we are so thrilled to be a part of this new chapter in Midway International Airport’s 96-year history,” said Nancy Knipp, president of Airport Dimensions America. “As a new wave of travelers is redefining how they spend their time in airports, Airport Dimensions is committed to setting new industry standards through innovation, personalized experiences, and exceptional hospitality. We are delighted to support Midway Partnership and the CDA to contribute to their vision of elevating the guest experience and are very excited to partner with local ACDBE partner Marc Brooks and Hyde Park Hospitality, whose team will manage the operations of the lounge ensuring the highest quality of service for the guest.”

“As a native Chicagoan and small business owner, it is extremely exciting to be a part of the team to bring the first lounge to Midway,” added Marc Brooks, President and CEO of Hyde Park Hospitality. “This partnership is yet another example of the city’s commitment to include more Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) firms in airport contracts.”
