Ale Flint Becomes Acting Aviation Director At OAK

Port of Oakland Executive Director Omar R. Benjamin has named Deborah Ale Flint the acting aviation director for Oakland International (OAK).

“We are very fortunate to have Deborah Ale Flint as Oakland International Airport’s acting aviation director,” Benjamin says. “She has been serving as the Port of Oakland’s assistant aviation director for two years.  Deborah, having been second in command, is very comfortable with leading the airport team in both operations and meeting the needs of our customers. Deborah’s 12 years with the port makes this a seamless transition and allows us to stay on track with our strategic business goals.”

Before becoming assistant aviation director, Ale Flint had been manager of airside operations at OAK since 2004, responsible for overseeing airside operations, noise abatement and environmental compliance, communications and the airport operations center.

She is replacing the port’s former aviation director, Steve Grossman, who left to become the executive director of the Jacksonville Airport Authority.
