Alpha Retail launched The Eating Place, a regional food concept, at Dublin International (DUB). The self-serve restaurant, which has a 12-year contract to operate at DUB, is expected to attract more than 20,000 customers a week, according to a company statement.
The eatery includes a number of serving points where passengers can order food tailored to their desires. They include a deli breakfast bar and sandwich and salad bars.
Bev Holland, catering controller for Alpha Retail, says “our aim with The Eating Place was to make food the hero, sourcing produce locally where possible and providing fresh food options that travelers want to enjoy.”
Alpha’s parent company, Alpha Airports Group Plc., provides retail and catering services for airlines and airports from more than 200 outlets in 17 countries.
