The Airport Minority Advisory Council  has named Jim Drinkard the recipient of its 2012 Airport Architectural, Engineering and Construction Award.

Drinkard, assistant general manager for planning and development at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International (ATL), will receive the honor June 12 during the 2012 Airport Business Diversity Conference in St. Louis, Mo.

The award is given to an individual, airport or firm that has met or exceeded Disadvantaged Business Enterprise participation goals over two or more years in an architectural, engineering or construction project.

“We are honored that AMAC has recognized our dedication to the DBE program and Jim Drinkard’s work to include female and minority participation during the construction of the Maynard H. Jackson Jr. International Terminal,” says Aviation General Manager Louis Miller. “We are committed to promoting full and equal business opportunities for minority and female business enterprises working with the airport.”
