AMAC Foundation Welcomes New Board Members

The Airport Minority Advisory Council Foundation has appointed two individuals to its board of directors: Andres Garcia, vice president, program manager for AECOM and Sade Olanipekun-Lewis, vice president, operating and community partnerships for Vantage Airport Group.

Since June 2013, Garcia has served as the program manager for Chicago’s O’Hare Modernization Program, one of the largest airfield development programs in history. He has more than 37 years of airport and aviation development experience.

Olanipekun-Lewis leads the development and implementation of all community and organizational partnerships in support of Vantage’s airport and infrastructure development projects, with a particular focus on the development of JFK Terminal 6 and MWBE engagement. She previously served as regional director of government and airport affairs for American Airlines.

The AMAC Foundation works alongside AMAC and advances minorities and women pursuing careers in the aviation industry by developing educational programs and providing scholarships to students who are emerging aviation professionals. Since 1997, the AMAC Foundation has awarded more than $500,000 in scholarships.
