Norton Sound Seafood House, a popular restaurant that has served travelers and greeters at Ted Stevens Anchorage International (ANC) has been expanded.
The restaurant has always included a primary seating area located post-security. It also has reached those who have not passed through security checkpoints through a connected to-go option. ANC and HMSHost Corp. have expanded the pre-security presence with a new dining room and bar, which offers the same menu and full-service dining that has been available beyond Transportation Security Administration checkpoints.
The expansion was unveiled during a celebration and ribbon cutting Friday afternoon in the new dining area in Concourse C as part of the airport’s Alaskan Cultural Experience that included special activities and demonstrations. The restaurant’s pre-security area now seats about 40.
“In Alaska, fisheries and seafood are historic and important parts of local culture, and it is very exciting that at Norton Sound Seafood House we are able to deliver that iconic culture to travelers in the form of great dishes,” says Stephen Douglas, vice president of business development for HMSHost.
