Travelers at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County (DTW) who want some local Italian flavor have a new place to get it.
Andiamo Restaurant, which has been in metro Detroit for 26 years, has brought its fare to DTW’s McNamara Terminal.
“We’re thrilled to bring the new Andiamo to the award-winning McNamara Terminal at DTW,” says Andrea Hachem, president and CEO of Midfield Concession Enterprises Inc., which operates the eatery. “DTW travelers can now experience Detroit’s premium Italian destination. The restaurant is warm and inviting and will offer travelers a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience featuring new innovative designs with the best Italian food served this side of Italy along with Midfield Concession Enterprises’ trademark exceptional service and hospitality.”
Located in Concourse A of the terminal, Andiamo serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast offerings include lemon ricotta pancakes, Italian-style French toast, Fritatta Roma, Joe’s Stacked Ciabatta Sandwich and a variety of Italian-inspired omelettes. Menu items available for lunch and dinner consist of Andiamo’s traditional minestrone soup, appetizers such as calamari fritti and sausage and peppers, four styles of pizza, paninis, and grilled Atlantic salmon, chicken and veal all available in four different preparations: Marsala, Scallopini, Picata and Parmesan and pasta served with any of eight sauces. There are also vegetarian and gluten-free options.
“We are excited to partner with Midfield Concession Enterprises, which is an award-winning food and beverage operator in many of the nation’s larger airports,” says Joe Vicari, founder and CEO of Andiamo Restaurant Group.
