A new batch of concepts will hit Los Angeles International (LAX) throughout 2016 and 2017, courtesy of Areas USA.
The company has been awarded 10-year contracts for four dining spaces in Terminal 1 of the airport, which is developed by Westfield Concession Management. The concepts that will be installed are Reilly’s, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, California Pizza Kitchen and Deli & Co.
“Areas is passionate about delivering a world-class experience for Southwest passengers traveling through Terminal 1 at Los Angeles International Airport,” says Xavier Rabell, CEO of Areas. “Our mix of unique concepts reflects the spirit of Los Angeles and the region. We are honored to work with Westfield towards making Terminal 1 an amazing passenger experience.”
Reilly’s will be a 1,237 square-foot space inspired by the local concept Rock & Reilly’s Irish Pub. Breakfast, lunch and dinner menus will be available, as well as a wide selection of whiskeys.
Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is another local concept, which provides coffee and snacks. The 762 square-foot space will also have grab-and-go service.
California Pizza Kitchen is an L.A.-based restaurant that uses locally sourced ingredients and will offer local wines, small plates, appetizers, pastas, pizzas, salads and desserts. The restaurant will occupy 2,964 square feet.
Deli & Co is a proprietary grab-and-go concept for Areas that serves baked goods, toasted sandwiches, panini wraps, salads and flatbreads. Travelers will also be able purchase juices, coffee and other beverages at the 149 square-foot space.
Westfield previously announced six other food and retail concepts as part of the project. These include Rock & Brews, Be Relax, Quiksilver, Treat Me Sweet, I Love L.A. and Brookstone.
