Two new executives have joined the ranks of Areas USA.
David Flaherty, who will be vice president of retail, comes to Areas from HMSHost Corp., where he was regional general manager in Atlanta, Ga. In his new role, he will oversee day-to-day retail operations, including pushing profitability at Areas locations in U.S. airports. He will be based out of Areas USA’s corporate headquarters in Miami, Fla.
“I am delighted to become part of such a great team as Areas USA. I am sure my experience in the travel industry will prove advantageous in developing strategies to accomplish the company’s goals,” says Flaherty.
Huy Pham, the new business development director of retail, has experience in marketing, sales and operations in airport and retail industries. Before joining Areas, he was vice president of business development at Pacific Gateway Concessions in San Francisco, Calif. He is charged with expanding the retail business in Areas’ domestic airport locations. His headquarters will be Denver, Colo.
