Airports Council International-North America has honored Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International (ATL) with two awards.
John Cugasi, director of concessions for the airport, was named concessions person of the year; the airports shops were named best convenience retail program in the large airport category.
“We are honored to be recognized by ACI-NA for our concessions management program, which aims to meet the needs of every passenger who passes through Hartsfield-Jackson’s doors,” says Aviation General Manager Ben DeCosta. “With more than 200 concessions – including restaurants, retail, and personal and business services – throughout the airport, our talented team of professionals works hard to build a program that is redefining the travel experience.”
Cugasi said his award was an honor and a credit to the ATL team.
“I am honored to be recognized by ACI-NA as its concessions person of the year,” he says. “This is an award that I share with the entire concessions team at Hartsfield-Jackson. Their commitment toward delivering a dynamic program that exceeds customer expectations has helped transform industry standards for an airport concessions program. I’m proud of our efforts thus far and look forward to continuously growing and improving our program.”
