Airport and concessions industry professionals nominated nearly 350 teams, individuals, companies and brands to compete for the 2024 Airport Experience Awards. The number of nominations sets a new record for the awards program.
AXN’s most nominated category this year was Best Local-Inspired Store, with 35 submissions. The industry also loved the Best Local-Inspired Restaurant category, with the large airport segment garnering 27 submissions and the medium/small segment getting nine submissions. Best Quick-Serve Restaurant Concept and Best Casual Dining Concept each garnered more than 20 nominations as well.
Now, the AX Team is in the process of reviewing all nominations and selecting the finalists in each of nearly 25 categories. Once the finalists are chosen, those nomination forms and supporting details will be packaged and sent to the pre-selected Judging Committees, who will cast their votes for the best of the best in the airport concessions industry.
Finalists will be announced to the industry in January, and the winners will be honored at the Awards Gala capping the 2024 Airport Experience Conference in Dallas, Texas.
