Melissa K. Montes, vice president and publisher for Airport Experience News, has been selected as a 2022 Woman to Watch in the prestigious Trade Show Executive Gold 100 Awards. The award recognized Montes’ achievement in directing successful 2021 and 2022 Airport Experience Conferences despite the pressures of an ongoing pandemic.
The Women to Watch program honors top-performing management professionals in the events industry. Honorees are selected by a panel of Trade Show Executive editors based on professional achievements, leadership qualities and professional expertise demonstrated within the last year.
“I am honored to be recognized by the editors of Trade Show Executive,” Montes said. “The past few years have been challenging for all industries, but one key fact we’ve all learned is that being together, at live events, is the most meaningful way to do business”.
In addition to serving as vice president and publisher of Airport Experience News, Montes is also vice president of WWIN (Womenswear In Nevada), the fashion portfolio within Clarion Events. Montes is tasked with driving strategic vision for both the AXN and WWIN portfolios. She also serves as DEI business lead for Clarion Events.
