A new bag drop service just introduced at Denver International Airport (DEN) will allow passengers to check their bags and print boarding passes prior to parking their cars.
The shuttle parking lots, Pikes Peak and Mt. Elbert, will allow passengers to save time and bypass the check-in counter prior to security, as well as eliminate the hassle of transporting luggage on the shuttles. Airport guests will be able to follow signs in those lots to access the bag drop kiosk and check in with an attendant. They are then free to park their cars and head directly to security.
“This new bag drop service is the first of its kind in the country and is another way Denver International Airport is working to make travel easier for our passengers,” says airport CEO, Kim Day. “Ultimately, our goal is to make your trip as efficient and enjoyable as we can, and this bag drop is another one of the unique services we now offer to accomplish this goal.”
Bag drop is a free service provided by DEN and is available for domestic flights on Southwest, United, Delta and American Airlines. Passengers must arrive at the bag drop kiosk at least 90 minutes prior to their flights, with bag fees paid to the greeter attending. The service is available Saturday through Thursday from 2 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 2 a.m. to 7 p.m. To accommodate passengers arriving by train or bus, DEN also offers bag drop services at the Transit Center.
