Barista Bot Opens At DEN

Passengers looking to fuel up at Denver International Airport (DEN) now have a high-tech barista at their service, as the airport opens a locally owned and operated automated Barista Bot.

Located near gate C48 in front of Smashburger and open 24/7, the fully automated robotic coffee vending kiosk is the first of its kind at DEN. The coffee kiosk is able to prepare freshly brewed Denver-based Coda Coffee as well as specialty mocha and latte beverages like the Irish Luck, Vanilla Dream and Caramel Delight. Two local independent operators manage the barista bot as part of DEN’s Specialty Retail Program in partnership with Provenzano Resources, Inc. (PRI), which grants small businesses six-to-twelve-month trial lease terms and logistics support without requiring operators to go through the RFP process.

“When DEN recognized the need for coffee on C Concourse, they turned to us for a quick solution. In just a few months, we brought in a local small business to meet that demand,” said PRI CEO Ross V. Provenzano.

“We just couldn’t be more proud of the excitement and fun that our local businesses bring to the Provenzano Resources Specialty Retail Program at DEN,” added Cord Rauba, PRI director of airport operations. “Our community is ripe with entrepreneurs who want to share their passion with the traveling public and through our continued partnership with DEN, we can open doors for small businesses to break into travel retail in record time and with minimal start-up costs. In an age where travel is non-stop it’s becoming more and more important to provide 24/7 service to our customers. Thanks to our small business launch pad and modern technology, we can all enjoy a steamy brew any day…all day!”
