The Jackson Municipal Airport Authority operator of Jackson – Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport (JAN), has named Rose Beckett as its new CEO. Previous CEO Paul Brown resigned the role in May 2022.
In her new role, Beckett will to responsible for airport strategic planning and implementation, budget strategy, system assessment and change management, human resources and talent development.
Beckett said she is “honored and thrilled” to join JAN. “I look forward to working with the talented team at JMAA to continue driving growth, enhancing operational efficiency, and providing exceptional services to our valued passengers and partners,” she said.
Beckett most recently was chief administrative office for the Jacksonville Aviation Authority. Prior to that she was an executive at Fraport USA.
“We are confident that Ms. Beckett possesses all the qualities necessary to have a very positive and professional impact on our organization and the entire Jackson/Capital region, said Warren T. Herring, chairman of the JMAA board of commissioners. “Our two airports play vital roles in the economic development of central Mississippi, and we envision the progress and growth continuing for many years under the leadership of Ms. Beckett.”
