The MNAA also announced that Jessica Burton will become its new director of procurement and inventory management.
Bell brings a strong background in diversity, equity, and inclusion programs to her new role, most recently working for the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM) and Birmingham Airport Authority as manager of the real estate land acquisition and DBE federal programs. She also served as the Federal Aviation Administration Liaison Officer for the ACDBE and DBE Programs and for the Authority’s Title VI and ADA Compliance.
“I am very excited to join the BNA team,” said Bell in a statement announcing her new position. “It is an honor to serve within an organization of people whose core values are respect, integrity, service and excellence. Having the opportunity to advance my career in an environment of shared leadership that focuses on business diversity and inclusion for all small businesses is a life work I am proud to be part of.”
Burton brings more than a decade of decade of procurement experience to her new role at BNA, most recently as director of purchasing for Kentucky State University, the state’s only public Historically Black College and University (HBCU).
“I am very excited by the opportunity to lead the purchasing team and serve the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority,” said Burton. “I was drawn to the MNAA because of the dedication to service and success of travelers at the Nashville International Airport and the John C. Tune Airport.”
Both appointments were made following a national search by Jacksonville, FL-based ADK Consulting & Executive Search.
