Ben’s Chili Bowl, an iconic restaurant in the Washington, D.C., area for more than half a century, opened its first airport location at Ronald Reagan Washington National (DCA) on Wednesday.
The opening is part of the larger redevelopment of the shopping and dining at DCA and Washington Dulles International (IAD) over the next three years.
Ben’s Chili Bowl is located pre-security in the B/C Terminal. The grand-opening event was highlighted by a performance of the Chuck Brown Band, which honored another D.C. icon, the late Chuck Brown.
“With the arrival of Ben’s Chili Bowl at Reagan National, passengers can enjoy great food, a great atmosphere and a little piece of D.C. as they travel,” says Jack Potter, president and CEO of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority.
