Bheodari Named General Manager At George Bush Intercontinental

Balram Bheodari will join the Houston Airport System next week as general manager at George Bush Intercontinental (IAH).

He will be responsible for the daily operations and the development and implementation of policies and procedures at the airport, the city’s largest. He also will coordinate the preparation, implementation and monitoring of the budget and expenditures at IAH.

“Balram Bheodari is an experienced professional with a proven track record and an obvious commitment to excellence in anything he does,” says Mario Diaz, aviation director. “He has demonstrated strong leadership and the Houston Airport System will benefit from his strong background as we continue efforts to enhance the customer experience and create innovations to improve our facility to allow for continued growth.”

Bheodari, who prefers to go by “B,” has more than a quarter century of experience in aviation leadership and management roles. He has most recently spent three years as aviation deputy general manager at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International (ATL), where he managed an annual operating budget of more than $170 million and handled the activation process and opening of the airport’s 1.2 million square feet of international terminal that now accommodates more than 12 million travelers each year.
