Nashville International Airport (BNA) this week unveiled its new six-gate International Arrivals Facility (IAF) and BNA Marketplace, two key pillars of the airport’s BNA Vision construction and renovation plan.
The BNA Marketplace, operated by Fraport Tennessee, offers hometown staples and BNA firsts, including ACME Feed & Seed featuring scratch-made family recipes and a selection of craft beers; Kitty Hawk Eat & Drink, a BNA-exclusive restaurant with fast-casual fare, locally roasted coffee and espresso, craft cocktails, and more; and Voodoo Doughnut, the first BNA out post of the popular shop.
Also opening is the Titan’s Press Box, a full-service restaurant offering a casual approach to upscale dining with its lived-in luxury feel and memorabilia from the NFL Tennessee Titans; Slim & Husky’s Pizza from Nashville’s James Beard-nominated pizza maker; and Smashville, the NHL Nashville Predators themed restaurant with live music, delicious food, refreshing drinks and team merchandise.
Other concessions at the BNA Marketplace are Hattie B’s, Smashville, Goo Goo Shop, Tennessee Moonshine Bar, Tennessee Whiskey Company, two locations of Time For A Shine, Galleria Duty Free/Duty Paid, Musicians Hall of Fame & Museum, and Sunglass Hut. And, on the heels of opening in Concourse B, Time for A Shine adds professional shoeshine services in a second location in Concourse C/D.
“These innovative concepts offer more ways for passengers to experience all that Nashville and Tennessee have to offer,” said Matt Jennings, vice president of Fraport Tennessee. “Many also feature live music and retail offerings,” he adds. “We couldn’t be more excited to join with our partners at Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA) in welcoming more Nashville famous cuisine like Hattie B’s and others and introduce concepts devoted to our beloved sports teams right here at the airport.”
Separately, the International Arrivals Facility features gates specifically designated for international flights with ample apron space to accommodate larger planes. It also features a new Customs and Border Protection (CBP) zone that will streamline immigration and customs processes and can accommodate 800 passengers per hour using the latest in biometric technology.
Both the IAF and BNA Marketplace are among the final pieces of BNA Vision, the airport’s growth and expansion plan launched in 2017 to transform BNA into a world-class airport.
“BNA Vision was designed to take Nashville International Airport to the next level and meet the travel needs of Middle Tennessee not just today, tomorrow, or next year, but well into the future,” said Doug Kreulen, president and CEO of BNA. “Not only does the International Arrivals Facility greatly increase our ability to serve international flights and travelers, it also opens the door for future nonstop air service to Europe, Asia, Latin America, and other regions.”
The IAF and the BNA Marketplace mark the completion of the Terminal Lobby Renovation, a 400,000-square-foot project including the new Grand Lobby, which opened in January 2023.
BNA will next move on to New Horizon, a $1.5 billion improvement and expansion plan for two concourses, a new air freight building, terminal roadway improvements, and additional upgrades to further enhance the traveler experience. New Horizon is scheduled for completion in late 2028.
