More than a dozen food and beverage and retail stores have opened in the international terminal at Nashville International (BNA).
The openings are the latest in an effort to include more local cuisine, as well as nationally known chains.
“Nashville International Airport’s newest offerings reflect customers’ desires for national brands, local flavor and retailers with a connection to our city and state, says Raul Regalado, president and chief executive officer of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority. “We incorporated customer feedback into our master concessions plan, which is evidenced throughout the renovation of BNA.”
Some of the new dining options include Manchu Wok, Provence, Villa Fresh Italian Kitchen and Wendy’s; In Celebration of Golf, Life is good and Massage Bar are among some of the new retail shops.
BNA also began new shuttle bus service in its parking lot operations March 17. The buses feature low-profile floors, meaning there is just one step up into the bus; kneeling capabilities, meaning the bus can lower to the ground a few more inches; and a ramp extension, allowing more handicapped accessibility.
Other features to be installed including DriveCam, a two-way camera that will allow videotaping of any significant event in the interior of the bus as well as the front-facing exterior; people counters, which will allow BNA to track ridership; and a GPS tracking system, which will help monitor and coordinate the buses.
“These new buses help us as we continually strive to fulfill our mission of delivering exemplary customer service by providing premier airport services and facilities,” Regalado says.
BNA’s shuttle service is provided by First Transit. CitiValet, a small minority- and women-owned business enterprise partner based in Nashville, provides two passenger-assistance programs, as well.
